History of formation and development
- On October 14, 1954, Hanoi Radio was born.
- October 1977, Hanoi Radio started broadcasting on AM wave 570 KHz.
- On January 1, 1979, the first television program was broadcast on the air of the Central Television Station (now Vietnam Television).
- On August 25, 1989, the People's Committee The city decided to change the name of Hanoi Radio Station to Hanoi Radio and Television Station, officially recognized the Radio as the city's audio and video newspaper.
- In 1997, the Radio Hanoi Radio and Television officially changed the identity of the new logo with 3 double waves in the shape of the letter H, with the symbol Khue Van Cac (Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam)
- Date April 30, 2002, Hanoi Cable Television Network HCaTV (now Hanoicab) was officially put into operation. As of May 2013, Hanoi cable TV has 72 channels of Analog programs, 60 channels of SD programs and 22 channels of HD standard programs.
- On October 14, 2002, Hanoitv electronic newspaper . vn was born.
- In 2006, Hanoi Television Magazine was officially published with the magazine's topics and columns focusing on the thousand years of Thang Long - Hanoi. By July 2016, the magazine officially stopped publishing.
