Mahmoud Ahmadinejad spent his childhood growing up in Aradan, Garmsar, Iran, then his family moved to Narmak in Southern Iran to live and avoid discrimination because of his background in a poor rural area.
In 1976, he passed the entrance exam to the National University and enrolled at Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) in Tehran. After 10 years of studying, he also graduated from school with a Master's degree. From the 80s he became the Governor of Maku and Khoy of West Azerbaijan and began to pursue his political career. After that, he became an advisor to the Governor of Kurdistan for 2 years and became the Governor of Arbadil Province from 1993 to 1997. Also in 1997, he graduated with a doctorate, however due to his resignation, he returned to his teaching job.

In 2005, he became the sixth President of Iran and was re-elected in 2009, during his term he often made hostile statements towards Israel that was openly hostile to the Western world and was international accusations of human rights abuses and expansion of Iran's nuclear program, calling the Holocaust a myth.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is the son of a blacksmith, he married his wife Azam Farahi in 1981 and the couple had three children together including 2 boys and 1 girl; one of his two sons attended Amirkabir Technical University.
