Born Yuridia Francisca Gaxiola Flores, she spent her early days in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, but spent most of her childhood in Mesa, Arizona, USA her brief relationship with fellow La Academia contestant Edgar Guerrero produced a son named Phoenix.
