Thu Thuong's first time. Impressing the Vietnamese audience, she won the first prize of the National High School Students Singing Competition in 1993 with the song "Farewell to Summer", when she was an 11th grade student at Bui Thi High School. Spring. In the same year, she won the First Prize of Folk Singing.
