Best known as the younger brother of the young star Mary Pickford, this Canadian-born artist played much of his childhood. Childhood and teen film roles, most notably appearing in the film adaptations of Tom Sawyer and Great Expectations.
His life was marked by alcohol abuse and personal scandal, and he died at the age of thirty-six from advanced stage syphilis.
