In 2000, when returning to Hong Kong for summer vacation, Han Dong received a phone call from Anh Hoang's manager. At the urging of her family, she decided to give it a try. Her shyness and beauty in the audition caught the attention of managing director Mani Fok. Mani decides to sign a contract with her.
On May 18, 2001, Twins was officially established with 2 members, Gillian Gillian and Charlene Thai Trac Nghien. The group's first EP sold out in one day.
In September 2002, A Gill was only 21 years old at that time, one of the youngest artists to hold a concert at Hong Quan.
