Who is Band Leessang?
Leessang is a rap group consisting of 2 members Gil and Gary. Not as strong or sassy as many other rappers, Leessang pursues a flexible and entertaining Rap style. The strength of this rapper duo is humor, wit and nostalgic music. Not only delivering moody hip hop songs, the two Leessang members also brought laughter to the audience on reality shows. Gil participates in "Infinite Challenge" and Gary is one of the seven official members of "Running Man". Since joining the variety show, the number of Leessang fans has increased significantly. A hip-hop expert commented: "Leessang's music and lyrics are mainly for men, but appearing on variety shows helps them gain more female fans".
Gil and Gary debuted in 1997 as a guest rapper of the group Exteen. Two years later, Gil and Gary became part of the Hiphop group Honey Family. Honey Family's music products were not as successful as expected, quiet activities, Gil and Gary withdrew and founded Leessang. Leessang's first album was released in 2002 with the participation of many top artists such as: Park Hwayobi, Jung In, Park Seon Joo...
