Who is Band Ss501?
SS501 - the boy group that was considered a rival of DBSK for a while. SS501 is under the management of Daesung Entertainment, first appeared in 2005 only 1 year after DBSK. Both groups have 5 members with eye-catching looks and uniform vocals, so they are often put on the table for comparison. SS501's debut single "Warning" received a positive response from the audience. SS501's 2nd single "Snow Prince" was released at the end of 2005.
In 2008, SS501 stirred up the Kpop music industry with a series of hits such as: Deja Vu, A Song Calling For You, Find, U R Man. However, SS501's name was known to audiences throughout Asia after the movie "Meteor Garden" featuring leader Kim Hyun Joong was a great success, creating a buzz throughout Asia. The soundtrack song "Because I'm Stupid" by SS501 became a new craze. This is considered the most classic soundtrack for Kpop fans. In Vietnam, there have been two Vietnameseized versions of this song by singers Minh Quan and Noo Phuoc Thinh. Overcoming the victory, SS501 continued to release the mini album "Rebirth" with the title song "Love like this" and the mini-album "Destination" with the title song "Love Ya".
The first "S" The first in the group's name stands for "Star", the second "S" stands for "Singer", the number 501 means 5 members united as one forever. 5 members of SS501 including leader Kim Hyun Joong, Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong , Park Jung Min, Kim Hyung Jun. Unfortunately, on the way to the top, SS501 could not reach a common voice with the management company in signing the contract. SS501 stopped working, the members developed solo careers, most notably Kim Hyun Joong. On June 3, 2012, Kim Kyu Jong held his last fan meeting, said goodbye to fans before enlisting in the army.
At midnight on January 14, 2016, the management company CI Entertainment released a teaser photo for the return of 3 members Kim Hyung Joon, Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong under the name SS301. SS301 is a subgroup of SS501. The teaser made the Kpop community curious, looking forward to the return of one of the top groups in the period 2005-2010.
