Nguyen Thi Kim Dung (Jessy Kim) is one of the best bodybuilders in the history of bodybuilding Vietnam. With more than 13 years of hard training, she has a toned body, clearly sculpted muscles with prominent muscle mass. Kim Dung is also a symbol of will, energy as well as the spirit of overcoming personal limits.
Not only dominating the domestic arena, Kim Dung also continuously affirmed the position of Vietnamese bodybuilding in the international arena by winning many Southeast Asian and Asian championships and especially 3 consecutive world championships.
Nguyen Thi Kim Dung's remarkable performance
From 2017 to 2025, except for 2021 when the National Bodybuilding Championship could not be held due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nguyen Thi Kim Dung had almost no opponents in the two categories of Women's Fitness and Women's Classic Fitness in the height category up to 1.65 m. Within 9 years, she excellently won the "double" gold medal 8 times, affirming her number one position in the Vietnamese female bodybuilding industry.
Not only dominating the domestic arena, Kim Dung also continuously achieved success in international tournaments. In 2023, she won the gold medal in the Women's Classic Bodybuilding event at the Southeast Asian Bodybuilding Championship, marking an important step forward in the regional arena.
By 2024, Kim Dung continues to elevate the position of Vietnamese bodybuilding by winning the gold medal in the Women's Classic Bodybuilding event up to 1.65 m in height at the World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship, becoming the pride of the country's sports.
The year 2025 is considered the most brilliant year in the career of the female athlete born in 1995. In April, she was awarded the First Class Labor Medal by the President in recognition of her achievement of winning the world championship for two consecutive years. In August, Kim Dung continued to affirm her class by winning 2 gold medals at the Asian Bodybuilding Championships. In October, she continued her streak of success with her 15th and 16th gold medals at the National Bodybuilding Championships. Not stopping there, in November, Kim Dung continued to successfully defend the world championship, thereby achieving the feat of winning the title for 3 consecutive years in the Women's Classic Bodybuilding content, becoming one of the best female bodybuilders in Vietnamese history.
Weak childhood and the fate of sports
Few people know that before becoming a female athlete with a famous muscular body, Kim Dung was once a girl with a skinny figure and poor health.
Her family let her take aerobics classes with the hope of improving her physical fitness. After every class, Kim Dung goes to the practice room to immerse herself in exciting dance lessons. It was that time that helped her feel the joy of exercise, and at the same time her body gradually became firm, healthy and full of energy.
Music, breathing and body movements helped her develop a special love for sports.
The turning point of love with the gym
At the age of 20, Kim Dung started going to the gym with the goal of improving her health.
During her training, she was fortunate to meet an experienced bodybuilder, who directly guided her in technique and created conditions for her to participate in her first tournaments.
From those trials, Kim Dung realized her true passion for bodybuilding. She decided to pursue a professional path, both competing and becoming a fitness trainer at TP. Ho Chi Minh.
