Nguyen Van Hieu was born in 2000 in Phu Tho province, into a family with a tradition of trading seafood. Since childhood, he has been familiar with the work of importing, preserving and distributing fresh seafood. It is this environment that has nurtured in Hieu a passion for business, along with a deep understanding of the high-end food market.

When he was still a 12th grade student, Hieu began learning how to sell seafood online through social networks. He realized that consumer demand for imported seafood was increasing, but quality supply was still limited. From there, he came up with the idea of starting a business early with the desire to bring fresh, high-quality products to consumers.

Start a business from zero

In 2018, after graduating from high school, Nguyen Van Hieu officially started the seafood business. He borrowed 180 million VND from his parents to invest in a tank system, cold storage and import the first batches of goods. Initially, Hieu focused on selling online via Facebook, Zalo and e-commerce platforms.

Although facing many difficulties, with perseverance and caution in every step - from importing goods, storage to delivery - Hieu has gradually won the trust of customers. He decided to name his brand Hieu Do Seafood, with the orientation of trading high-end imported seafood such as king crab, Alaskan lobster, Norwegian salmon, Korean abalone...

After only a short time, the Hieu Do Seafood brand has become known to many consumers, especially in Northern provinces such as Phu Tho, Hanoi. From a small business model, Nguyen Van Hieu has expanded the distribution system, developing many warehouses and branches in the city. HCM, Da Nang, Hai Phong, bringing products to many provinces and cities nationwide.

According to this young businessman, the most important thing in business is not profit, but credibility and customer satisfaction. He always puts product quality first and is willing to refund or exchange if the product does not meet requirements.

During difficult times, such as when the epidemic disrupted the supply chain, Hieu still maintained operations by focusing on online sales and door-to-door delivery. Thanks to that flexibility, Hieu Do system's revenue not only did not decline but also grew steadily.

Hieu once shared in an interview: "If I had chosen money, I would not have been able to get to where I am today. I chose reputation and customer trust as the foundation."
