In 2019, he became the president of international business of Xiaomi phone company. In March 2021, Chau Thu Tu became the CFO of ByteDance. After that, he became the CEO of Tiktok.
CEO Chau Thu Tu is married to a Taiwanese-American, Vivian Kao. The two first met in 2008, when they were students at Harvard Business School. To date, the two have given birth to two children.
