Dinh Nhu is a Vietnamese musician, he is famous for the song "Let's go to the Red Army".
Tho Professor Tran Quang Hai, the song "Together to the Red Army" was written by the author in 1930, while being held in Hoa Lo prison. The song was written to call on the people to stand up against the French invaders. The song was written based on the pentatonic scale (Do, Re, Fa, Sol, La, Do), giving off a strong and heroic feeling.
While incarcerated in Con Dao prison, musician Dinh Nhu met revolutionary activists such as: cu/a99i">Nguyen Van Cu, Pham Van Dong, Hoang Quoc Viet, Nguyen Van Linh... Due to his skillful hands, he was assigned the task of copying revolutionary documents and books to circulate in prison for other prisoners to read.
In 1936, Dinh Nhu was released, he returned to Hai Phong and continued his revolutionary activities. After a while, he and his younger brother, Dinh Hoat, were arrested again and sent to prison in Bac Me, then transferred to Nghia Lo port.
On the occasion of the Japanese coup against France on the night of March 9, 1945, the prisoners in Nghia Lo prison rebelled but were suppressed. Some died, Dinh Nhu, Nguyen Van Bay, Vi Phung... were executed by firing squad on March 17.

He soon communicated with intellectuals, workers, and then worked as a secretary at Hai Phong Lamp Factory.
