Le Minh Bang is a music group taken from the combined stage names of three members: Le Dinh, Minh Ky and Anh Bang a>. In addition to the stage name Le Minh Bang, the group also uses other names such as: Mai Bich Dung, Hoang Minh, Tran An Thanh, Da Ly Vu, Da Cam, Giang Minh Son, Tay Pho, Truc Ly, Ton Nu Thuy Khuong, Vu Chuong , Mac Phong Linh, Mai Thiet Linh, Phuong Tra, Huy Cuong, Mac Vu... Le Minh Bang is active from 1959-1975.
Most of the group's compositions are composed by musician Anh Bang, sometimes with the advice of Le Dinh and Minh Ky in editing a few lyrics, adding or removing details.
Group activities:
- Open a music class called "Le Minh Bang Music Class" at 102/8 Hai Ba Trung Street, Tan Dinh, Saigon (old). They take turns teaching in theory (music theory, notation) and practice (voice training, pronunciation). There were about a hundred male and female students enrolled, later there were famous singers such as Kim Loan, Giang Thu, My Dung Page,...
- Established a band called Wave Moi, specializing in performing on Saigon Radio (No. 3 Phan Dinh Phung Street).
Advisor to Mr. Nguyen Tat Oanh, director of Asia record label and Song Nhac publishing house at 37 street Pham Ngu Lao, Saigon in choosing songs and singers to record on vinyl and release separate tracks to market.
- In charge of organizing the singer selection program held weekly at Quoc Thanh theater, conducted by Saigon Radio and broadcast live across the country every Sunday morning. The contest selected famous singers such as Tung Lam, Duy Khanh (Tang Hong), Hung Cuong, Van Hung, Hoang Yen, Bich Thuy... Interspersed with the contest program are the cultural performances by professional artists of Le Minh Bang and some other groups.
