Who is Composer Truong Ky?
Musician Truong Ky real name Joseph Vu Truong Ky. He was known as the "King of Young Music" from the 1960s-1970s in the South of Vietnam. He was also the pioneer musician for the youth music movement in Saigon before 1975.
Songwriter Truong Ky participated in writing Vietnamese lyrics for foreign songs. The most famous of which are the songs Love in Life Sealed With A Kiss, Then Mai Da Lo Mucho Te Quiero, Loving Animals. The Godfather, When I Was Twenty All I Have To Do Is Dream, Missing In The Rain The Rhythm Of The Rain, Le Temps De Lamour Love Season, I Started A Joke Winter, Phone To You Téléphone-moi. ... These songs were printed in separate copies by musician Truong Ky and his musician friend Nam Loc recorded and widely distributed on Tinh Hong music tapes. He has also composed quite a few songs. From 1972-1973, he released a number of collections of Young Love Music and Music.
Songwriter Truong Ky also participated in writing reportage for Drama and Screen newspapers. He is the person in charge of the young music page in the daily newspaper Live of writer Chu Tu. He also collaborates with other newspapers such as Tinh Hoa, Chinh Luan, Front Line, Wed.... He is the curator of VOA's "'Artist and Life' section, which broadcasts regularly in the program. Saturday night for many years.
He is also the author of many novels, notably "Adolescence" which has been made into the movie "Wild Footprints".
