Thai Ba Sang is a mature player from Song Lam Nghe An training center (SLNA), considered one of the young potential midfielders of football Vietnam in the period 2020–2022. Born in 1999 in Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An, he grew up in an environment rich in football tradition and soon harbored the dream of becoming a professional player. From a young age, Thai Ba Sang was often taken by his parents to the stadium to cheer on SLNA's matches, creating a strong motivation for him to pursue the path of shorts.

In 2010, when he was only 11–12 years old, Thai Ba Sang joined the SLNA youth training facility. The time he spent living away from his family, being independent and taking care of himself, helped him grow up quickly and develop a strong will. At SLNA youth teams, he held the position of captain at many levels and was called up many times to the U18, U19, U22 and U23 Vietnam teams. This is an important foundation that brings him closer to top football.

In the period 2018–2019, Thai Ba Sang was loaned by SLNA to Pho Hien FC to play in the First Division. This was an important turning point that helped him accumulate real combat experience and perfect his defense skills. After two seasons playing for Pho Hien, he was called back by SLNA and officially promoted to the first team in the 2020 season. At that time, SLNA encountered many changes in personnel, creating an opportunity for the young midfielder to play and prove his abilities. He was also included in the list of national youth teams by coach Park Hang-seo, affirming his great potential.

Thai Ba Sang stands out with the ability to read situations quickly, make accurate judgments and smart gameplay. His height of 1m76 puts him at a disadvantage in high ball disputes, but he makes up for it with agility, good positioning and strong fighting spirit. These advantages help him become one of the expected names in the young generation of central defenders in Vietnamese football.

However, his career encountered many difficulties when SLNA fell into a period of crisis and competition for positions became increasingly fierce. After the 2023 season, he will no longer be on the SLNA competition registration list. However, Thai Ba Sang did not give up his career but decided to reappear in the Quang Ninh FC shirt in the national third division in 2024–2025. This return shows his great determination to continue pursuing professional football. Even though he no longer plays in the V. League, Thai Ba Sang still perseveres on his football journey and constantly looks for opportunities to reaffirm himself. His effort, perseverance and spirit of not giving up help him become a role model for many young players. Thai Ba Sang is currently continuing to contribute at the Third Division level, raising hopes of once again returning to the professional playing field in the near future.
