Illness and life-changing events
The big turning point came when Trinh was in 11th grade, when her body was constantly tired and exhausted for unknown reasons. After many examinations, Trinh was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and had to undergo treatment for many years, before undergoing important surgery.
The moment she lay on the operating table, Trinh clearly felt the fragile boundary between life and death. It was the subconscious call of her parents that pulled Trinh back. It is an invisible but extremely strong bond between family and life.
Not having time to fully recover, Trinh faced another shock when her father had a stroke. The image of the always strong man now lying in a hospital bed forced Trinh to look back at his entire life and priorities. Dad's words when he met Trinh in the hospital: "I'm sick, how can I take care of you anymore?" became a milestone that made Trinh change her way of life.
When you learn to be gentle with yourself
Dad taught Trinh to be a strong person, not to be afraid, not to bend and dare to stand up for what is right. But Trinh's journey to maturity later is to learn how to balance - allowing herself to be weak, to rest and to live slowly.
"Rediscovering femininity" for Trinh is not about returning to dependence, but about learning to listen to emotions, appreciate the body and live more harmoniously between reason and emotions.
