Chief meteorologist for ABC 33/40 since 1996 who has received two of the highest awards in the nation for a television meteorologist, Broadcaster of the Year by the National Meteorological Association and the Award for Broadcast Meteorology by the American Meteorological Association.
He won an Emmy for best weather anchor television in the Southeast in 2014 and was elected to the Silver Circle Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 2013. He won the Alabama broadcaster Association ABBY Best Weathercaster in Alabama many times throughout his long career.
