From 1945 to 1948, he participated in youth activities to save the nation in the commune, then inter-commune guerilla militia No Luc.
In 1948, he escaped from the country. family went on business trips, from Cam Khe district, Viet Bac inter-region, then Hoa Binh province.
From 1949 - 1957, he worked as an information and propaganda officer in Da Bac district, then Hoa Binh province.
From 1957 to 1968, he worked as an officer of the Phu Tho Culture Department, Vinh Phu, then as an editor of the Van Nghe Newspaper, the Vietnam Writers' Association until his retirement in 1993.
Since retirement, he has moved to live in the countryside.
