Movie The Creator

The movie The Creator is set in the future, when AI machines was created to improve the quality of human life. But AI detonated a nuclear warhead in Los Angeles, forcing the US government to immediately establish a force to destroy AI robots. In the New Asia region, American American Joshua (John David Washington) approaches Maya (Gemma Chan) with the purpose of exploiting information, but the two develop feelings. After the attack of the NOMAD nuclear satellite, Joshua returned to America because he thought Maya was dead.

In the movie The Ceator, the director integrated messages about humanity and diversity. The species simultaneously condemns unjust war. Initially, New Asia appeared as a rich land with the intersection of tradition and technology, where humans and AI lived together peacefully. When the American army approached, the area became a tragic, haunting battlefield. Scenes of explosions and blood showed the brutality that war left behind. The government took advantage of Joshua's pain of losing his wife to participate in the campaign to hunt down AI's new lair in New Asia. When he arrived at the designated location, Joshua realized that the "weapon of destruction" was a robot girl named Alfie (Madeleine Yuna Voyles) created by Maya herself. So, instead of destroying Alfie, Joshua decided to protect her to find Maya's whereabouts.

This film evokes viewers to reflect on the existence of modern machines in current social life. In the middle of the war, Joshua changed his status from an agent serving the US military to someone who understood the absurd meaning of the war against AI. Despite being trapped between the US military and the AI ​​robot community, Joshua risked his life to protect Alfie. On his journey to find Maya, he also learns lessons about tolerance and altruism. The scene where Joshua sacrificed and said goodbye to Alfie was truly emotional. The conversation scene between the two people standing between the boundary of life and death made many audiences sympathize with Joshua's efforts to protect the girl's life.

The Creator is a movie that The supporting cast has a place to act. Among them, Ngo Thanh Van is the only Vietnamese star to appear in several segments. She made her mark as the character Kami, having many happy moments with little Alfie. Although she was a guest, Ngo Thanh Van left an impression thanks to her very good facial expressions.
