Duong Bich Lien is a Vietnamese painter. Duong Bich Lien is little known to the public because he "voluntarily chose the silence of painting as himself". He is a talented painter, passionate about Vietnamese painting. During the resistance war years, painter Duong Bich Lien always held a palm tree firmly and composed non-stop. Painter Duong Bich Lien is one of the four masterpieces of the Vietnamese painting village: Nghiem, Lien, Morning, Phi . He often composed works on portraits of women.
In 1946, Duong Bich Lien and Hanoi artists participated in the resistance war against the French. He works in the troupe of the director Pham Van Khoa, the troupe of musicians Nguyen Xuan Khoat, joined the Resistance Cultural Union with artist To Ngoc Van, poet The Lu. .. , making newspaper "National Guard".
In 1949, he was admitted to the Party in the resistance area.
In 1952, artist Duong Bich Lien was assigned the task of going to the war zone to paint pictures of President Ho Chi Minh Minh. In 1980, the painting of Uncle Ho in the Viet Bac war zone by artist Duong Bich Lien won the first prize at the National Fine Arts Exhibition. Currently, this painting is on display at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum.
