Long Dien's real name is Nguyen Long Dien, born in 1987, is a face that attracted attention in the action movie genre Vietnam when he took on the role of Hung Cho Lon in The Dust of Cho Lon. Before getting into cinema, he had a remarkable sports career as a Taekwondo fighter, winning a gold medal at the SEA Games.
Long Dien was originally a Taekwondo athlete in the city. HCM. During his professional career, he achieved outstanding results at domestic and international tournaments. Most notable is the 2003 SEA Games gold medal in the 54 kg weight category. This is considered one of the most memorable milestones in his sports career. Not stopping there, he also participated in Olympic qualifying rounds and continued to compete in other martial arts disciplines. At the 2011 SEA Games, Long Dien won another bronze medal in Kempo. Years of training and competing professionally have helped him possess a foundation of physical strength, fighting skills and the ability to perform martial arts movements, which later became a great advantage when entering the film industry.
In 2011, he officially fell in love with cinema when participating in Olympic Aspiration. Starting as a martial artist gives the actor many advantages in scenes that require health, technique and mobility. However, the real turning point came when he participated in the project Cho Lon Dust directed by Charlie Nguyen. In the film, he takes on the character Hung Cho Lon, a character with many action scenes. Martial arts ability and strong demeanor help the role make an impression on the audience. Although the work was not released commercially in Vietnam, the image of Hung Cho Lon still contributes to bringing the name Long Dien closer to the public.
After the mark from The Dust of Cho Lon, many people expect Long Dien to continue to develop his career in the field of action films. However, his artistic path suddenly turned in another direction. Around 2015, he got married and then settled in the US. Changing his living environment almost stopped his artistic activities for a long time.
After many years of absence, Long Dien began to return to cinema with the project Human Trafficking Camp. The film brings together many artists of different generations such as People's Artist Nhu Quynh, Meritorious Artist Tuyet Thu, Quach Ngoc Ngoan, Quach Ngoc Tuyen, Steven Nguyen, Khanh My and many other faces. His participation in the project marks a notable milestone after a long time away from the screen. This return has special meaning because Long Dien not only returns to acting but also continues to choose the action genre, which is his strength. Many years of experience competing in martial arts helps the actor be able to handle scenes that require physical strength and fighting techniques.
