He is the person who directly organizes the publication of the Journal of Medicine & Health in order to disseminate knowledge about diseases and medicines to pharmacy staff and help people protect their own health. He is Editor-in-Chief and directs, writing over 800 articles including most of the editorials directly. The newspaper has operated regularly, has donated benefits to support the activities of the Pharmaceutical Association and published the French newspaper Revue Pharmaceutique, which is the voice of the Vietnam Pharmacological Association and the World Pharmaceutical Federation. With the spirit of passionate work, dedication and responsibility, exemplary lifestyle, open-minded, simple and united manner, he also participated in many useful works for the country and the health sector. Dr. Nguyen Duy Cuong has devoted himself to the common cause and deserves to be an excellent cadre of the Party and the people.

Dr. Nguyen Duy Cuong participated in revolutionary activities before the August Revolution in the patriotic student movement and took on many tasks in the resistance war against the French. In 1947, even though he was only a pharmacy student, he organized the first medicine preparation room in the southern resistance base area. He was also the organizer of the first Resistance High School in the South, and a work-study high school. Nguyen Duy Cuong joined the Party in 1950. Dr. Nguyen Duy Cuong was awarded the Second-class Independence Order, 2 First-class Resistance Orders and the Third-class Labor Order for his achievements in 2 resistance wars. In 1955, when he gathered to the North, he was appointed to be in charge of pharmacy at the Department of Health Quang Ninh, then took on the position of: Deputy Director Department, Head of External Relations Department, Deputy Director, then Director of Finance and Planning Department, Ministry of Health and Vice President of Vietnam Youth Union.
In 1970, the Party Central Committee sent pharmacist Nguyen Duy Cuong to the South to work in the inner city of Saigon.
March 1970 DS. Cuong accompanies comrade Nguyen Van Linh, Secretary of the Central Bureau; comrade Tran Bach Dang, Secretary of the Saigon-Gia Dinh Party Committee to the South along the Beijing-Shanghai road Hai - Phnom Penh. The next day, the Lonnon group couped the Sihanouk government. He immediately crept back to the party headquarters in Mo Cay (Ben Tre) and then returned to Saigon.
DS. Nguyen Duy Cuong was assigned the task of Deputy Head of the Saigon Intelligence Front Committee and took the name Ba Truc. He triumphed over adversity, successfully completed his mission, and welcomed the liberation day together with the people of Saigon.
At the end of 1974, he founded the Association of patriotic intellectuals of the city. After that, DS. Nguyen Duy Cuong, Chairman of the Association of Patriotic Intellectuals was appointed General Secretary of the People's Revolutionary Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. HCM. In 1976-1981, he was a member and member of the City People's Committee. Ho Chi Minh City, and is also the Director of the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City.
