A Canadian fiction writer and screenwriter, she is particularly known for her 1925 bestselling novel, Wild Geese. Her other works include The White Reef; The Dark Dawn; Prologue to Love; and The Stone Fields. Her novel Wild Goose was made into a Canadian television series starring Sam Shepard.
