Who is Poet Martin Robertson?
A British scholar of art and archaeology, he is known for published works such as The Art of Vase in Classical Athens (1992) and The Parthenon Frieze (1975). Also a poet, he published For Rachel (1972), A Hot Bath at Bedtime (1975), and a number of other collections.
He was a student of the famous art and archeology scholar, John Beazley.

He studied at Trinity College, Cambridge and spent time in Athens, Greece before returning to England. In 1936 he was hired by the British Museum as an assistant keeper of the Greek and Roman collections.
He is the son of Donald Struan Robertson and Petica Jones Coursolles. In 1942, he married Theodosia Cecil Xuan Rice.
