Le Hong Phong, born Le Huy Doan, is a Vietnamese revolutionary. He used to hold the position of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Indochina (1935-1936). He is her husband Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, also a Famous figures in the Party.
He was an orphan from a young age, but because his mother took care of him, he still went to learn Chinese with teacher Le Van Duyen. After that, he learned 2 more years of French. The following year, he was sent to Guangzhou Air Force School to continue his studies. There, he was introduced by Nguyen Ai Quoc and was admitted to the Communist Party of China. In August 1927, he and a group of young Vietnamese volunteers studying at the Guangzhou Air Force School went to the Soviet Air Force School to continue their training. But because of his good health, he was chosen to continue his studies at the Soviet Air Force School. He also studied at the Military Theory School in Leningrad in the Soviet Union, studied at the Second Air Force School in Borisoglebsk, and studied at the Communist Labor University. -duong/ba5e">Indochina of the Communist International in Moscow under the alias Litvinov.
In late 1931, Le Hong Phong took the name Vuong Nhat Dan to operate in China. Country. At that time, in the country Communist organizations were violently suppressed by the colonialists. The Conference adopted resolutions on organizational issues and political resolutions.
At the First Party Congress in Macau in 1935, he was elected General Secretary. In July of the same year, he led the Party's delegation to the 7th Congress of the Communist International in Moscow. The Congress recognized the Party as the official branch of the Communist International, elected Le Hong Phong as a member of the Executive Committee of the Communist International. In early 1936, he went to China to convene the Party Central Committee in Shanghai. After that, he returned to Vietnam to do revolutionary activities under the name La Anh. In March 1938, he attended the Central Conference held in Hoc Mon, deciding to establish the "Indochina Democratic Front". On June 22, 1939, he was arrested by secret agents for the first time while operating in Saigon, sentenced to 6 months in prison, and then deported to Vietnam. -nam">Nghe An. On 6/2/1940, he was arrested for the second time and sentenced to 5 years in prison, exiled to the Saigon and Con Dao Grand Prison.
On September 6, 1942, he died when is being held in prison in Con Dao, right on his 40th birthday. His name is given to a street in Hanoi's Ba Dinh District. Many provinces in the country such as: Tp. Ho Chi Minh, Can Tho, Nghe An, Nha Trang, Hai Phong, Da Lat, Tuy Hoa, Quy Nhon, Uong Bi.... took his name to name the streets to remember his merits for the country.
