Charles Lindbergh is an American inventor, social activist, explorer, military officer, author, and pilot. He famously flew alone from the Roosevelt field on Long Island in New York to the field at Le Bourget in Paris on May 20, 1927.
 
 

Young / Before famous

June 5, 1918 Charles Lindbergh graduated from Cass Technical High School.
While living in Washington he attended Sidwell Friends School and Force School.
While he lived in Redondo Beach, California, He attended Redondo Federal High School with his mother.
In late 1920 he attended the college of engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, but dropped out in the middle of his sophomore year.
In March 1922, he attended flight training at Nebraska Corporation's flight school in Lincoln.
The first flight in his life took off on April 9, 1922.
He used to be He briefly worked as an aircraft mechanic at the Billings Municipal Airport in Billings, Montana.
In May 1923 he bought a Curtiss JN-4 "Jenny" for $500. The plane named Jenny helped him make many emergency flights to bring patients across the Wisconsin River in the flooded springs.
On March 19, 1924 he participated in military flight training during the period. lasted a year at the Brooks flight site. On March 5, 1925, while performing flight drills, he had an accident with the SE5 army before graduating 8 days later.
October 1925 he worked at a joint stock company. Robertson Flight Instructor (RAC) as a flight instructor.
Wishing to win the $25,000 Orteig prize, he persuaded businessman nahan St. Louis invested money to get him a suitable plane by going to Ryan Aviation Company in San Diego to build a plane of his design. That plane he named the Spirit of St. Louis. On May 10 and 11, 1027 he made a test flight from San Diego to New York City with a flight time of 20 hours and 21 minutes with an overnight stay in St. Louis.
After a successful test flight, on May 20, 1927, he made a historic flight lasting 33 hours and 30 minutes from Roosevelt near New York City to Le Bourget near Paris.

Charles Lindbergh grew up on a farm near Little Falls, Minnesota and Washington D.C. His father was a Swedish immigrant to Melrose, Minnesota named Charles August Lindbergh. His father was a member of the US Congress and was one of the few who opposed the US's entry into World War I. His mother was a chemistry teacher at Cass Technical High School in Detroit named Evangeline Lodge Land Lindbergh.
His wife was Anne Morrow Lindbergh, and they were married on May 27, 1927. at Engelwood. The couple had six children together: Charles Augustus Lindbergh Jr, Jon Morrow Lindbergh, Land Morrow Lindbergh, Anne Lindbergh, Scott Lindbergh and Reeve Lindbergh. His son was kidnapped and murdered in what is considered the crime of the century.
