Binz Da Poet, real name is Le Nguyen Trung Dan, was born on May 24, 1988 in Gia Lai, Vietnam. He is currently one of the top rappers in the Vietnamese rap scene, as well as a music producer, musician and coach. He is not only known for his million-view hits like They Said, OK, Gene, Bigcityboi, but also for his romantic, poetic music style, which helped him be called “The Poet of the Vietnamese Rap Village” by US Billboard magazine.
Binz was born into a family of Gia Lai origin, then moved with his family to live and work. studying in the US (Abilene city, Texas). Although very tight-lipped, many sources said that Binz was greatly influenced by his mother, who loved lyrical music, and that helped shape his "bad boy but emotional" style later.
Career journey - from Underground to Vietnamese Rap
Initiation stage
Binz entered the music path in 2008, when he joined the underground rap community. At that time, he took the stage name Binz Da Monet, influenced by American hiphop and R& B music. Even though he was just an independent rapper, he quickly made his mark thanks to his special voice, soft flow and deep lyrics.
Career turning point
In 2017, the song They Said officially brought Binz's name to the mainstream ranks. This song quickly spread strongly on YouTube, helping him be recognized as one of the Vietnamese rappers with the most unique style. After that, a series of hits like OK, Gene, and especially Bigcityboi (2020) affirmed Binz's star position in the Vietnamese music industry. MV Bigcityboi reached tens of millions of views in just a few weeks, becoming a music icon for young people at that time.

In 2020, Binz was invited to be a coach for the Rap Viet program - where he demonstrated the role of leader and inspiration for the young generation of rappers.
