Who is Reformed artist Minh Phung?
Minh Phung's real name is Ngo Van Thieu, later taking the birth name Nguyen Van Hoai. Before using the stage name Minh Phung, he also had another stage name, Tan Tien. From the 1960s-1970s, Minh Phung was a famous artist that made many fans sobbing. Up to now, he is considered a veteran reformed artist of southern theater art. Artist Minh Phung has been awarded the title of Excellent Artist by the Vietnamese government.
On the stage of Kim Chung troupe, artist Minh Phung has performed with famous artists in the reformed world such as: Minh Canh, Minh Vuong, Ut Bach Lan, My Chau, Dieu Hien, Le Thuy... Artist Minh Phung Incarnated into characters in many plays such as: Please love once, Love each other in life, Virgin of a flower, Bich Van Cung Le history, Batman swordsman...
After 1975, artist Minh Phung became the leader of the Que Huong singing troupe of Ben Tre province. This period. He impressed with the role of Luc Van Tien. In 1976, artist Minh Phung left the Que Huong singing troupe to become the main duo of the Huong Autumn troupe. He performed famous plays such as: Han River Grass, White Stork, Airport Fire.
In 1994, artist Minh Phung re-established the Huong Thu singing troupe. After that, he changed the name of the troupe to Minh Phung Golden Bell with the participation of many talented artists of that time such as: Vuong Binh, Thanh Phu, Dien Tu Lang, Thanh Thuy, Linh Canh, Kieu Tien, Bao Ngoc, Ngoc Cam Thuy, Ngoc Anh, Dieu Thanh, Giang Tam clown. However, Minh Phung's Golden Bell group only operated until 2000, when it was officially dissolved because of a loss in business.
Artist Minh Phung passed away on November 29, 2008, caused by complications of many diseases such as heart failure, kidney failure... When news of the talented artist Minh Phung's death, many colleagues and especially especially the large number of fans who flocked to his home to attend the funeral and take him to his resting place.
