Who is Reformed artist Minh Canh?
Minh Canh's full name is Nguyen Minh Canh, is a reformed artist. He was the initiator of the long-lasting chanting movement that later artists Giang Chau, Binh Trang, Chau Thanh and Phuong Hang followed in Minh Canh's footsteps to create a school of singing long neck.
While selling goods to support his family, Minh Canh met the artist Nam Duoc. It was Nam Duoc who introduced him to Mr. Long of the Kim Chung troupe. After listening to Minh Canh singing 6 resounding lines, Mr. Long agreed to sign a contract of 20,000 VND with Minh Canh for two years. The stage name Minh Canh was given by the wife of musician Nam Duoc. At Kim Chung stage, he paired with Dieu Hien, My Chau, Kim Hoang, My Lan through the books: Eyes of a gentle mother, Tuong Khong Bach Hai Duong, Princess of Pho Ma, The brocade shop at the top of the village, the white flowers of the meditation gate, Luc Van Tien Kieu Nguyet Nga, the Buddha Shakyamuni attained enlightenment.
In the middle of 1961, artist Minh Canh became famous with the first classical song "Tu is a source of happiness" by composer Vien Chau. Since then, he has recorded other famous classical songs by Vien Chau at Asia, Vietnam and Tu Hai companies such as: Vo Dong So, Sou Vuong Y Nhac, The afternoon car ride, Luu Binh Duong Le, Luong Le and Luu Binh Duong. In 1967, Minh Canh founded his own singing group called "Minh Canh troupe. However, this singing group did not last long before disbanding. After that, he went to America and settled here.

At the age of 11, Minh Canh returned to live with his grandmother and Aunt Ba at the corner of Nguyen Thien Thuat and Phan Thanh Gian streets. Because of his family's difficult circumstances, he had to do a lot of work to help support his family. He followed poor friends, scavenged trash, collected empty bottles, nylon and scrap paper to sell to the ladies to buy bottles, at noon and at night, he went to sell orange cakes and fried bananas to earn money to support his family.
At the age of 15, Minh Canh followed his parents to the street Pham The Hien, District 8. Mr. Barber named Si, near his house, he knew the ancient music, so he taught Minh Canh ca Vong co and the cai luong songs.

Minh Canh's father worked as a cyclo driver, then he was better off as a taxi driver. Artist Minh Canh's mother trades and sells bags. Minh Canh's mother gave birth to many children, but many people died, only 8 children survived, of which Minh Canh is the oldest.
