Co-founder and vocalist of the spin rock band Doctors, who are notable for their 1990 hits "Two Princes" and "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong." In 2009, he put out a solo album called Pancho and the Kid, and a year later, he released an EP called Songs from the Summer of Sangria.
He previously played in a band called the Trucking Company in late 1980's New York. During a tour in 1999, he lost his voice due to a rare acute form of vocal cord paralysis.

He went to primary school in Sydney, Australia and moved to Princeton, New Jersey, where he attended high school and high school. He attended Bennington College for a year, and moved to New York City in 1988, at the age of 20, with $100 and an acoustic guitar.
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, he is the son of Vietnam veteran and auto authority Ken Gross and self-help author Toby Green. He was married to actress Laura Benanti from 2005 to 2006. He then married actress Lindsey Nicole Chambers, leading in the tour of Broadway Kinky Boots.
