Best known as a singer, guitarist, and bassist with the British rock band Badfinger, he is also remembered for his work as a songwriter. Most notably, he wrote Badfinger touches 'Maybe Tomorrow' and 'Hold On,' as well as the Harry Nilsson single 'Without You'.
Tragically, depressed and deeply affected by the previous suicide of Badfinger his band member Pete Ham, thirty-six-year-old Evans, ended his own life.
