American rapper who received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2008 BET Awards for his work in Stop the Violent Movement. He developed the group, Boogie Down Productions with whom he released his first album, Criminal Minded in 1987.
He founded the pantheon of Hip Hop, ministries, schools and societies in support of of Hip Hop as a political movement. His MC name stands for Knowledge Reigns Supreme Over Near People.
