To Loan was born into a family with difficult circumstances and no one followed the arts. At the age of 6, her mother passed away. At the age of 20, she just started studying at the Intermediate level - National Academy of Music Vietnam Nam but on her way to pursuing a singing career, she won many awards. In 2011, she won first prize in the Sao Mai contest. In 2014, she won both the First Prize and the Audience Award at the Lidal North Opera Workshop at the Oslo Opera House. In 2018, it was the first prize of theSoutheast Asia Opera Competition in Singapore. In 2019, she won the Gold Medal at the National Professional Performance Festival and Second Prize at the Vietnam Opera Competition. In 2021, she won the Professional Third Prize at theMAP International Music Competition (MAP – IMC), held from Los Angeles USA...
Recently, the female singer Musician Dao To Loan launches a music project with CD vol2 First Spring aiming to celebrate the 100th birthday of musician Van Cao (1923-2023). That music and beautiful melody conquered all of his music-loving souls, and she was no exception. Talking about the opportunity to sing songs by musician Van Cao, To Loan felt lucky to meet Ms. Nguyen Quynh Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam Bar Federation - is a neighbor and also a music lover of the talented musician. She and the Vietnam Musicians Association and the organizing committee came up with the idea of organizing a music nightVietnamese Birds, celebrating the 100th birthday of musician Van Cao and implementing an accompanying CD music project. Books about him are a particularly meaningful gift for the audience. In addition, she was also very happy because she received singer Tung Duong - who gave her strength and gave her many suggestions when singing Van Cao's music.
