Artist Thanh Huyen, whose real name is Truong Thi Thanh Huyen, is a famous Vietnamese folk and red music singer. In 1984, she was awarded the title of People's Artist and became the first singer to be awarded this noble title.
In the 1960s-1970s, artist Thanh Huyen was considered the brightest voice of Vietnamese music at that time. She is considered the successor folk singer of the late artist Thuong Huyen (a very famous female singer of folk songs. famous in the late 1940s-1960s).

Since childhood, artist Thanh Huyen has been exposed to music. That's why her love of music is growing more and more. After winning the First Prize in Children's Solo Singing Hanoi City. She studied at the Vocal Department of the Vietnam School of Music (later Hanoi Conservatory of Music), under the guidance of famous artists such as Mai Khanh, Thuy Huyen... Artist Thanh Huyen also learned to sing Van, Hue, and Northern folk songs, which helped her successfully sing many vocal genres. In 1963, after graduating from the Faculty of Vocal Music, she returned to work at the Vietnam Music and Dance Theater, and along with the music and dance troupe, toured many places, even going to the battlefields Nghe An, Ha Tinh during the war years, performing in France, Algeria, Italy for the Paris Conference.
She married the director - NSND Thanh An. Their life is warm and happy with two children, a boy and a girl. Her son currently lives and works abroad, and her daughter is also pursuing a singing career like her mother.
