Nguyen The Doan is a hero of the Vietnam War and a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He used to hold the position of doctor, the captain of front-line surgery in Ben Tre province.
Nguyen The Doan joined the guerrilla team at the age of 14, when he was 15 he joined the army. In 1954, he was sent to the North to be trained as a doctor.
