Phan Ba Manh is a hero of the Vietnam War and a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He used to hold the position of lieutenant, company captain C10, D3, QD14, QK1.
In 1972, Phan Ba Manh participated in revolutionary activities. During the resistance war against the US, he fought in the QK5 battle, achieving many outstanding feats.
In 1979, in the battle against invaders on the northern border, he always upheld his bravery, commanded with dexterity and intelligence, even though the enemy army was large, he resolutely fought. He and his teammates in the unit killed hundreds of enemies, causing great damage to an enemy battalion. During the struggle, he used 4 types of guns AK, medium machine, B40, M79, and killed 35 enemies.
On February 20, the enemy troops occupied Chu Canh hill, they used fire to shoot heavily at the army. We are very fierce. He led the soldiers of the unit to attack the main direction of the battalion quickly and deeply divided the enemy formation, killing 100 men, seizing 8 guns of all kinds and 1 radio communication machine.
Day On February 23, the enemy bombarded fiercely to support their infantry to attack the battlefield of his company. He always calmly waited for the enemy troops to approach before ordering his comrades to open fire to kill one class of enemy class after another, destroying many of their attacks. He alone killed 20 enemies.
On February 27, the enemy troops sent a battalion with artillery support to attack the hill post south of Ban Phan. He led the unit to fight bravely, killing nearly 100 enemies, breaking many attacks. He alone killed 10 enemies. He made a heroic sacrifice while fighting the enemy.
Phan Ba Manh was awarded a third-class Victory Medal.
December 20, 1979, Phan Ba Manh was honored by the Party and State. awarded the title Hero of the People's Armed Forces, the Third Class Military Merit Order.
