David Garrett, born David Christian Bongartz, is a famous German violinist and recording artist.
David received his first Stradivarius violin at the age of 11. At the age of 13 he recorded two CDs and appeared on German and Dutch television. He then appeared in concert at the German President's residence at Villa Hammerschmidt, at the invitation of Dr. von Weizsäcker.
You are using the most famous Stradivarius, including the "San Lorenzo" which is one of the finest musical instruments of the golden age Antonio Stradivari. At the age of 13 he signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon.
April 1997 David performed with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of the conductor Zubin Mehta Delhi and at the 50th anniversary of India's independence concert in Mumbai. Two years later, he performed with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos to critical acclaim. He was then invited to perform at Expo 2000 in Hanover. At the age of 21, he performed at BBC Proms.
In 2008, David released the album "Encore pursuits" in the hope of sparking young people's interest in classical music. In the fall of 2007 he was invited by Montegrappa to represent the campaign to launch the pen collection in the advertisement "Tributo ad Antonio Stradivari". Events to promote this product have taken place in several locations around the world such as Rome, Hong Kong, New York, Berlin, London...
