Who is Architect Jorge Ferreira Chaves?
Sometimes called Jorge Chaves or Chaves. One of the architects who defined the modern movement for Portugal in the latter part of the 1940's. Regularly collaborated with other notable Portuguese architects, including both Joaquim Ferreira Miguel Jacobetty Rosa, and Porfírio Pardal Monteiro.
He insists on designing his own interiors for all of his buildings or at least used Portuguese-made furniture.

His father, Raul Pires Ferreira Chaves, was a Portuguese civil engineer and inventor.
