Hoai Thanh (full name Nguyen Hoai Thanh) is a famous chau van singer. Although born in a family with no artistic tradition, from a young age Hoai Thanh soon showed a passion for singing, especially Northern folk songs and traditional melodies.
Growing up, he traveled to many places to make a living, but his artistic destiny led him to cheo singing and chau van singing.
The turning point that brought Hoai Thanh to the art of chau van
Year In 2006, Hoai Thanh passed the entrance exam to the College of Culture and Arts Thai Binh. This is an important milestone that opens the journey of attachment to traditional arts. From here, Hoai Thanh fell in love with singing Chau Van and began to explore the world of traditional music.
His fate with Chau Van was very accidental. During a walk, Hoai Thanh accidentally heard the singing voice from the disc of artisan Trong Quynh - Khac Tu coming from a house along the road. The melodious, attractive melody made him stand still and then sit down on the sidewalk to listen to the entire song. That day, he was determined to find that record and practice each verse by himself.
From a guy who loved folk songs, Hoai Thanh gradually moved to singing with all his passion and unremitting efforts.
During the process of learning Cheo singing, he was fortunate to meet teacher Thanh An (Nam Dinh) - the teacher who guided him to practice singing and literature methodically, laying a solid foundation for his future career.

After graduating, Hoai Thanh returned to work at Ha Nam Cheo Doan. This period witnessed his outstanding efforts when proactively cultivating all skills related to the art of singing and literature:
