It is known, Do Nhat Thinh fell in love with calligraphy at the age of 10. Because of the interest in calligraphy printed on calendars or red packets. The 9X boy practiced his first pen strokes and pursued calligraphy to this day. The beginning was quite difficult because at that time calligraphy was not yet popular. But because he loves it, Thinh has really practiced seriously with this art form. Thinh shared: “I used the hairs of some animals to bind them together, glued them together. Then, tie it to a bamboo stick to form a pen. In order to get ink for writing, I picked ripe purple raspberries, pounded them, and mixed them with water to form ink. Thinh recalls the difficult early days.
Nhat Thinh decided to study at the City University of Fine Arts. Ho Chi Minh. To equip with a solid foundation in art as well as a passion for calligraphy. He became an excellent student majoring in Graphic Design and achieved many typical achievements. He is also the President of the Student Union and at the same time graduated with the title of valedictorian of the whole school. He directly teaches calligraphy, painting skills, improves thinking and artistic sense for students and trainees. Not long after, he was selected as a program advisor for Golden Path Academics International Camps. It is one of the major national and international programs.
Thinh realizes that Vietnamese calligraphy needs to change with modernity to attract young people. In order to be more attractive, he wrote letters on many different materials such as: cloth, stone, glass, etc. In addition, Thinh challenged to write letters in many different languages such as English, German, French, etc. Performing on the Led screen, combining sound and light to make a strong impression at events. Only then, Thinh has attracted great attention both at home and abroad. He also hopes to exhibit his works in many other places in the near future. He also expressed his passion in the future to be able to create new and more diverse creations to meet the tastes of the Vietnamese public.
