Ha San's real name is Nguyen Thi Thu Ha is the co-founder and operator of MindX - with more than 9,000 students, 5,000 m2 of co-working space in 2 centers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Besides, she has just appeared in the list of 30 under 30 Vietnam in 2020 by Forbes Vietnam. She calls what she's doing with MindX a dream of "Little Silicon Valley". Desire to build an ecosystem including a school for training new skills of the 4.0 era and a co-working space complex.
The idea of "Little Silicon Valley" was formed when Ha San and the two MindX co-founders started working in technology education. Ha San was born in a poor countryside in n Thi district (Hung Yen province). Leaving school early to help support her family, she was not lucky enough to go to a university in Hanoi like her. Not everyone has the opportunity to travel around, see with their own eyes new opportunities, new horizons... “Thinking from myself and thinking from you, I ask myself the question: Is there a way to help people access short-term education and change perceptions? The thought of an educational project kept hovering in my head," Ha San shared.
The real turning point came in 2015, when Ha San became a Google Student Ambassador in Vietnam and was given the opportunity to travel to many Southeast Asian countries to fulfill her ambassadorial mission. Each trip opens a new door for Hassan. The opportunity to start a business came for Ha San when she met two friends who shared the same ideals and vision. Talking about friends, Ha San thinks it's like "fish meets water". The members can all see that Vietnam has many advantages to become a high-tech human resource center of the world and even the region, but the training in this field is still very weak. In developed countries, students are exposed to technology very early, so they have the opportunity to discover their abilities early and thereby determine their future path. Therefore, we decided to establish Little Silicon Valley”, CEO MindX recounted.
After 4 years, up to now, MindX has 5 locations in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. a href="/born-city/ho-chi-minh-viet-nam">Ho Chi Minh, a total floor area of 5,000 m2, has taught nearly 9,000 students. And the good news is that many MindX students have been working for technology companies since high school.
