Nguyen Thanh Nam was born in 1961 in Nam Dinh - is a businessman Vietnam, former General Director of FPT and currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT University, is the founder of FUNiX - Learn programming online.
Nguyen Thanh Nam was an alumnus Math student at High School specializing in Natural Sciences. After graduating from university, he went to the Soviet Union to defend his doctoral thesis. In 1988, after defending his doctoral project, he returned home and together with 12 other people founded FPT and held many important positions in this enterprise. In 2011, he left the CEO position at FPT to try a new field. After leaving FPT CEO, he became vice chairman of the FPT board of directors. Because he wanted to try his hand in the field of education, he left FPT and founded Funix - an online university with 3 nos: No lecture halls, no teachers, and no textbooks. He believes that online education is a world trend and all fields of study can apply this model. Foreseeing this trend, he quickly opened Funix to help Vietnam quickly catch up with modernity. In this online school, anyone, anytime, can study on their own instead of wasting time going to the lecture hall.
From idea to realization of FUNiX is a journey longer than 2 years. With the support of the parent company and his determination to try, he finally achieved success and was on the right track.
