Anh Viet Thanh started composing in 1958. He is a musician in the composition group of the Department of Political Science of the Republic of Vietnam. In addition, he is also an assistant director for the music label Nha Ca.
His most famous work must be mentioned "The area of tamarind leaves", this is a famous song composed in the summer of 1972.
In 1980, he moved with his family to France to settle in the city of Troyes. In 1990, he turned to writing music for poetry.
In 2001, Anh Viet Thanh released the CD Tuong Tu with 10 Love Songs that he set to music the poetic works of poet Pham Ngoc. In 2005, Anh Viet Thanh joined the French Music Association (SACEM) and released several more CDs.
Musician Anh Viet Thanh died on March 12, 2015.
Composer Anh Viet Thanh received two awards for literature and art in 1966 with the song Ket Doan Buddhist, presented by the Institute of Chemistry, organized in Saigon, and in 1970 with the song Welcoming Spring on the Dong by the General Department of War. Political picture awarded in Saigon.
