The first song of musician Tran Van Trach was composed in 1951 with the title "Anh phu cyclo". After the first song. he has continuously released many other songs such as: The Phone, Don't Worry, The Watch, The Jobless Guy, The Fountain Pen, The Water Cannon Department, I Build the Cinema, The Old Car, Vietnam chariot.. Most of his songs make the audience feel amused and amusing.
Around 1955, musician Tran Van Trach shook hands with the French film studio My Phuong, led by Mrs. My Phuong. as a production manager. They have released Two movies, “Humanity” and “Drop of Blood”. Both films were unsuccessful, but both won the hearts of the audience. After that, he collaborated with a Chinese in Cho Lon to establish Viet Thanh Film Studio. He is the person in charge of directing two films about Vietnamese fairy tales, “Thao Khanh Chau Tuan” and “Truong Chi My Nuong”.
In 1957, Tran Van Trach fell seriously ill, so he had to suspend all artistic activities. In 1960, he went to Paris - France, he often sang at La Table du Mandarin restaurant, Paris, District 1.
Tran Van Trach specializes in organizing youth music programs serving in night clubs for American soldiers. from 1965-1975. In 1993, he was honored by Ngoc Chanh and fellow musicians as "Artist of the Century".
In December 1977, Tran Van Trach left Saigon to settle in Paris (France). In February 1994, due to liver cancer, he returned to Paris and was treated at Thenon Hospital in Paris. Tran Van Trach died on April 12, 1994, at the age of 70. He was interred at the Cimetière intercommunal cemetery in Valenton, a suburb of Paris in France.

He studied at the Collège de My Tho (My Tho high school) until 1942, when he graduated. From a young age, he showed a talent for music. He was quite proficient in using the pliers and the pixie from a very early age.

Later, he and his brother Tran Van Khe joined the Viet Minh Military Band, which toured the west.
Around 1946-1947, he withdrew from the band and returned to Saigon. He and his sister, Tran Ngoc Suong, opened a restaurant in Ban Co area (now in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City). In order to attract customers, sometimes Mr. Trach Trach He sang French songs to French soldiers, so his friends gave him a very "Western" name, Tracco.

He was born into a family with a tradition of classical music and tuong theater. He is the younger brother of Professor - Dr. Tran Van Khe. His grandfather is musician Tran Quang Diem, his father is Tran Van Trieu (famous in the ancient music world through the sound of a pliers tuned in the style of To Lan strings invented by him).
