Young / Before famous

  • In 1978, she went to Hanoi to study Biology at Hanoi University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 1982. (Some documents say she graduated from Hanoi Medical University).
  • After graduating from university, she used to work as a lecturer at Nam Dinh Medical College and Thai Binh Medical University. While teaching, she began to write short stories, taking the pseudonym Y Ban with the meaning Ban at medical school.
  • In 1989, she quit teaching and turned to writing. After that, she was sent to study at Nguyen Du School of Literature and graduated in 1992.
  • In 1994, she worked at Education and Times Newspaper as a reporter to this day, having held to the post of Chief Editor.

Her husband is Tran Hoang Co, he is a sculptor. The two got married in 1985 and have two children together: a girl and a boy.
