Best known as one-half of the country duo Dan + Shay, he's best known for the 2013 release of the US hit Country Music Chart #7 charting his band "19 You + Me". His group's debut album, Where It All Began, was released in 2014.
Shortly after the meeting, he and his musical collaborator Shay Mooney wrote a song that was optioned by the band. Country music Rascal Flatts.
