Growing up in Saigon, Vietnam because from a young age, Luk Van's family always created conditions for their children to do as they liked. At the age of 14, Luk Van's family went bankrupt to have enough money to cover Luk Van's life. had to work many different jobs such as distributing leaflets, working as a PG.
Besides, Luk Van soon liked to be active in the arts as an actress and singer when she was still a young girl. High school student Luk Van was once disciplined for making a ghost movie in school, besides, she also participated in the first season of Vietnam Idol but failed in the theater round. Even she once had a passion for journalism, but eventually fate pushed her to pass the directing exam at the University of Theater and Cinema in Ho Chi Minh City. After graduating with a good degree, she became the valedictorian of the K8 Film Directing course of the University of Theater and Cinema Ho Chi Minh. During her time at school, she was always a strong person who lived a hard life so that she could take care of herself plus have money to make movies. Up to now, despite any difficulties, this young female director has always been resilient to take care of herself without relying on her parents. Up to now, this Thai-born female director has owned many popular short films on the Internet and a high-grossing movie in 2016
