Who is Directors Tony Le Nguyen?
Tony Le Nguyen or Tony Lee, is a Vietnamese-Australian actor, director, producer and writer. He is currently an executive producer of Le-Nguyen Productions based in Melbourne, Australia.
Tony Lee was born into a family of 7 siblings in Sa Dec, Dong Thap. At the age of 7, he moved with his family to Australia to live. From a young age, he was a personality boy who refused to conform. At the age of 15, he moved out to live alone because of conflicts with his father. He was also expelled from school for being an exceptional student. After a period of wandering in society, Tony returned home. However, he still disagreed with his father's way of upbringing.
In one incident, Tony was informed by a person that a TV producer was looking for actors of Asian descent. Being unemployed, Tony attended a catting session. At that time, thanks to being good at English, Tony was chosen. His role was as a back-to-back vocalist and interpreter for Asian actors who were not fluent in English.
Since then, Tony has realized that he has a passion for the arts. Upon learning that an Australian theater troupe is recruiting actors for a play on Australian multicultural themes. Tony did the casting and got the Asian character. This play has 4 characters from Australia, England, Greece, Spain and Vietnam, Tony plays the Vietnamese character.
This show toured in Australia for 3 years. Being on par with professional actors, Tony Lee's name has also become more famous. After the project ended, he fell into unemployment again. Finding direction in life, Tony went back to school and later studied Sociology at RMIT. He also applied for jobs in film crews with the role of sound and light. During this time, he also took advantage of learning more stages in the filming process.
After becoming more famous, Tony turned to teaching. He has taught in many countries and some Australian cities. The audience that Tony often teaches is students in grades 7 and 8. During the time of teaching and working in Australia, Tony still often returned to Vietnam. He accepted an invitation to teach acting and attend training courses organized by film production companies. Currently, he is a regular speaker of FPT University and Lotus University.
