Biography and background

Luong Thi Thu Thuong was born on May 1, 2000, in a family without a professional sports tradition, but from an early age she showed a special passion for football. Thanks to her good body shape, outstanding physical foundation and strong competitive spirit, Thu Thuong was quickly recruited into the youth training system of women's football Quang Ninh.

It was the disciplined and harsh training environment that helped her form a solid, decisive playing style - a factor that would create the brand of a top midfielder in the future.

Club career

At the club level, Thu Thuong has been with the team Vietnam Coal and Minerals for a long time, one of the traditional cradles of women's football training. Playing mainly as a central defender, she is responsible for organizing the defense, covering for her teammates and often confronting the opponent's most dangerous strikers.

Although she is not the type of player who regularly scores goals, her influence is clearly shown through her ability to read situations, compete in duels and command the defense. This is also the reason why she is always trusted to play in important matches at the women's national championship.

Imprint on the national team

The big turning point in her career came when Thu Thuong was called up to the youth teams and then the Vietnamese women's team. Since 2019, she began to regularly appear in the official squad, gradually asserting her position in the center of the defense.

One of the most memorable milestones is being included in the list of participants in the Women's Football World Cup 2023 - a tournament of historical significance to Vietnamese women's football. Even though she has to face the world's top teams, Thu Thuong still shows her bravery, stubbornness and competitive spirit without being afraid of collision.

In addition, she also won the SEA Games gold medal with the team, playing an important role in the journey to protect the number one position in Southeast Asia.
