In the 2014 GPL winter season, the Saigon Jokers team proved to be weak against other opponents. That's why the head coach decided to test the new squad with the inclusion of Optimus in the official lineup. Even in the first season playing for Saigon Jokers, Optimus did not disappoint the expectations of the coach and the fans. He and his teammates helped Saigon Jokers to 4th place in GPL Winter 2014 and GPL Spring 2014. Before GPL Summer 2014 season started, the coach of Saigon Fantastic Five decided to bring Optimus and QTV. into the official squad of this team. With great effort and breakthrough, Optimus and his teammates brought SF5 straight to 4th place on the GPL Summer 2014 rankings, helping SF5 win a ticket to the 2014 Garena Regional Qualifier. However, Optimus and SF5 could not fulfill their dream of entering the 2014 world finals because they lost 3 blank matches against the Taiwanese team.
